This past weekend I met my family in Nashville to celebrate my birthday. Besides some unfortunate weather it was such a fun trip! There are so many great spots to explore, little boutiques filled with handmade goods, delicious food and fun bars to listen to music. Here are some of my favorites that you should definitely check out if you ever go!

imogene willieImogene + Willie / I was so excited to finally see the shop and try on some jeans! Everyone there is SUPER friendly and helpful in order to make sure you find the perfect pair. They recommend a super tight fit at first since the jeans will loosen a bit and mold to your body. Once I found a pair that I loved, they tailored them right in the shop and I had them ready to go within 20 minutes! I highly suggest stopping in if you’re ever in Nashville, it’s great.

whiskey kitchenWhiskey Kitchen / This was the first spot we stopped at for lunch once we got there. I had the best fried pickles and bloody mary I’ve had in a while. The fried pickles were made with a jalapeno batter and the bloody mary had a barbecue rim, the perfect southern touch. My sister and mom tried some of their whiskey drinks as well and really enjoyed them.

cash museumJohnny Cash Museum / We were so lucky that this museum literally opened the day before we got there! It wasn’t scheduled to open until May, so we were really excited. My dad is a big Cash fan so this was definitely his favorite part of the trip. The museum is really nicely designed and it’s a fun interactive experience as you walk through.

rolf and daughtersRolf and Daughters / This little neighborhood restaurant was seriously delicious. We escaped the rain as we ate and drank some unique and tasty food. Their menu is a mix between Northern Italian & Mediterranean influences with southern ingredients. The dishes aren’t too heavy and great for sharing!

two old hippiesTwo Old Hippies / This shop has a little bit of everything, from guitars to shoes and home accessories. I got some candles and little trinkets there for my apartment. They also have a stage with live music inside the store! It made the shopping experience that much better; I was not in a hurry to leave. The store is right next to Whiskey Kitchen so we did both in one afternoon.

momGermantown Cafe / Before we left on Sunday we took a walk over to Germantown and found this great cafe for brunch. Before we got any food, they served us these little cinnamon dough things with a flavored butter. I was in love already. We had some more bloody mary’s and I ordered the crab cake benedict which was delicious.

All in all Nashville was such a fun city! There is definitely more I’d like to explore next time I go back!
